The Selous Game Reserve, now renamed Nyerere National Park, is a protected area in southern Tanzania. It covers a total area of 50,000 km² and has additional buffer zones. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and undisturbed nature
Selous National Park Day trip Highlights
- Pick up from your hotel in Zanzibar for morning flight to Selous (Mtemere airstrip) taking 50mins to 1 hour depending on the flight.
- Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous, you will be met by our professional driver guides for briefing before proceeding with your full day game drive.
- A picnic lunch break at safe vantage point for a chance to spot the images of your dreams ranging from the beautiful scenery to fascinating views of wildlife, in a natural habitat.
- After the safari, drive to Mtemere airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar where your driver will be waiting for you to transfer back to your hotel.
